Getting Started
Is a formal diagnosis required?
No. A formal ADHD diagnosis is not required to access support.
At The ADHD Outpost, the focus is on supporting the person, not just the diagnosis. Whether you have a formal diagnosis, are exploring ADHD or relate to ADHD experiences, you are welcome here.
Who is this service for?
The ADHD Outpost currently provides support for adults (18 years and above).
Support for children and adolescents may be introduced in the future.
Can you diagnose ADHD?
No. The ADHD Outpost does not provide ADHD assessments or formal diagnoses. If you are seeking an assessment, appropriate referral options can be discussed.
Who might this service not be suitable for?
This service may not be suitable if you require:
- ADHD assessment or diagnosis
- Medication management
- Emergency or crisis support
- Inpatient or intensive mental health care
- Support outside my scope of practice
Where appropriate, referral options will be discussed.
Sessions
What happens during Individual Therapy?
The first session focuses on understanding your experiences, how ADHD shows up in your life, your strengths, challenges, and goals.
The ongoing sessions may explore focuses on practical strategies, self management and ongoing maintenance.
We will work collaboratively to find approaches that fit your life.
Is this therapy or coaching?
The ADHD Outpost provides ADHD-focused support through counselling. Sessions combine evidence-based counselling approaches with practical ADHD strategies tailored to each individual.
Approaches include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT).
Can I attend if I am already seeing a psychologist or psychiatrist?
We can discuss during a Consultation Session about how this service might fit alongside your current support.
Do you prescribe medication?
No. Medication is not prescribed or managed through this service. For medication support, please consult a psychiatrist or medical doctor.
Practical Information
What language are sessions conducted in?
Sessions are available in English and Bahasa Melayu.
Are sessions online or in person?
All 1-to-1 ADHD Support sessions are conducted online via Google Meet.
Group programmes may be conducted online or in person depending on demand, availability and programme requirements.
What payment methods do you accept?
Payment can be made via Bank Transfer and DuitNow QR.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
Please inform The ADHD Outpost as early as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.
Confidentiality & Safety
Is everything I share confidential?
Information shared during sessions is kept confidential, except where disclosure is required by law or where there is a serious concern about your safety or the safety of others.

Is this an emergency or crisis service?
No. The ADHD Outpost does not provide emergency or crisis support.
If you or someone else is at immediate risk of harm, please contact emergency services or seek urgent medical support.
